Remove rights from Sigilbaram[]
Sigilbaram has a bunch of special rights because they were Gamepedia staff and helped transition the wiki over. However, I don't believe these rights are currently required since they are no longer Gamepedia staff, so I recommend that they be removed. -Xbony2 (talk) 13:26, 22 August 2017 (UTC)

SirMoogle for banhammer rights[]
SirMoogle has been part of the wiki for a while, and he's contributed a bunch, so I'd like to give him banhammer rights, which will let him ban evil vandals and whatnot. I think he is trustworthy and mature and all that, so I don't really see any reason to vote against him. Maybe it could be argued he doesn't need banhammer, but I think it could help and I highly doubt it could hurt. He appeared to accept my nomination on Discord. Anyway, there are no written or usual conventions for a banhammer vote as far as I know, so unless anyone has a problem this vote will end in seven days. -Xbony2 (talk) 21:53, 17 September 2017 (UTC)

DACP Appointment for Defiled Lands[]

- Meh. I'm pretty sure if you make the mod you can declare whoever you want to be curator for that mod without going through any sort of vote. So I guess the only thing we're voting for here is whether to make you an editor, to which I can't be bothered reading your existing contributions to make any sort of informed vote. 🐇Retep998🐇🐰Bunny Overlord🐰 21:40, 12 October 2017 (UTC)

Crazierinzane for Editor[]
Crazierinzane has been making a few edits here and there (well, 135 or so). He documented some of Ex Nihilo Adscensio in way back in January and then went inactive but recently came back to help with Cyclic in December and he participated in the 2017-2018 Editathon. He's new but mostly seems to know what he's doing. @Crazierinzane: as Editor, you are not committing to anything but it is a recognition of you as a trusted and somewhat decent editor, and you gain a few rights that normal users do not have that may assist you in editing (see Special:ListGroupRights) -Xbony2 (talk) 23:37, 2 January 2018 (UTC)

Improve first-time user experience of new wiki editors[]
I tried contributing to an existing page, and got the message "This action has been automatically identified as harmful, and therefore disallowed. If you believe your action was constructive, please inform an administrator of what you were trying to do." The message however contains no hyperlinks or tips on how to actually "inform an administrator". Where are editors supposed to contact the admins? When I go to the main page of the wiki and use my browser's search function to search for "admin", it highlights the Admin toolbox and the Admins' noticeboard on the sidebar menu. Is this the expected place to ask about these things? (If this is the wrong place to ask this question, it only serves to highlight the issue even further.) I also tried creating an entirely new page (about Thermal Expansion 5's Steam Dynamo) and used up several hours to edit it, and only upon submitting it I get the same message that the action was identified as harmful. I get that these filters are supposed to keep spammers from corrupting the site, but for an actual human user willing to contribute, this user experience is just awful and one would think it pushes many potential contributors away from helping out with the site. So, where do you think new people should be kindly directed to, and how? And can I actually submit my page somehow? --EspriteSylph
- This is the right place, yes. Your article was automatically detected as a spam page. I'm actually going to disable that particular filter (#9) since bad stuff should be mostly covered by Gamepedia's global filters anyway. I'm really sorry, that's definitely a pain in the ass. Most non-malicious edits have not had trouble getting past the filters but some do. You should be able to save Steam Dynamo (Thermal Expansion 5) now (if you lost the wikitext, I can give it to you). I have just saved your other edit to Thermal Expansion 5 however. If you want quicker communication I would encourage you to join our Discord, which is linked on the left of the page. I'm going to look at the message and see if I can change it to be specific with this. -Xbony2 (talk) 14:50, 21 January 2018 (UTC)
Rusy for editor[]
Rusy233 ms has made a fine number of edits, albeit mostly through, uh, side accounts. He has created much Russian content, although maybe in the wrong place and with the wrong words. Mostly surely, all of his edits are in good nature, and the edits that aren't are totally not his. But above all, I think Rusy should become an editor for his charming personality, which he has exhibited to us in his graceful words filled with fineries. Also if appointed, this would probably mean he would unbanned from the Discord. -Xbony2 (talk) 11:54, 1 April 2018 (UTC)

- Strong Support
- Rusy233 ms has worked with me as an editor for the Russian Minecraft Wiki. For the past year, it has been a great pleasure working with Rusy and I would like to highly recommend him to you.
- Working with Rusy on several tasks has given me a good insight and knowledge to their capabilities and skills. Rusy is consistently hard-working and uses initiative when leading projects of his own. Rusy has been one of the best editors at Russian MCW since the sudden disappearance of HEKP0H. (I believe aliens have to do something with it)
- He has shown friendly attitude towards other members of our wiki, especially to staff such as administrators and bureaucrats.
- Rusy is an efficient and reliable editor, who would be a great addition to any community. His strengths include organizational skills, confident leadership abilities and excellent communication with people of every position within the Russian MCW.
- If Rusy´s performance at the Russian MCW is any indication of how he would perform in your team, then Rusy would make a great asset.

Triple trouble[]
Just to balance out Rusy becoming Editor, I proposal the following users gain the Editor role: Tomdodd4598 (for his sporadic but contributive contributions towards NuclearCraft, his mod), Super fluke (for their surpassingly errorless contributions to Industrial Foregoing for a new editor), and intipablo (for their dedication towards Mariculture and barreling through the steep learning curve of wiki documentation). All are at least somewhat competent and trustworthy. as Editor, you are not committing to anything but it is a recognition of you as a trusted and somewhat decent editor, and you gain a few rights that normal users do not have that may assist you in editing (see Special:ListGroupRights). -Xbony2 (talk) 14:40, 7 April 2018 (UTC)

Expanding editor rights[]
I want to add the following rights to the editor role:
- patrol (mark others' edits as patrolled). Users like intipablo and Lykrast pretty often respond before admins do.
- translate-groupreview (change workflow state of message groups). Basically, these are all stuff that the translator admin group had that the editor group wouldn't hurt to have. Intipablo in particular wanted to update the aggregate groups.
- translate-import (import offline translations)
- translate-manage (manage message groups)
-Xbony2 (talk) 11:25, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
- I am in favor of adding patrol. However, is making understanding translation markup a prerequisite for getting the editor group a good idea? -- SatanicSanta🎅FTB Wiki Admin 17:24, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
