SuntannedDuck2 for Editor

I'm sure many of you know who SuntannedDuck2 is. Duck has made many excellent edits, including initializing the LightningCraft page as well as others.

While I admit that our Tanned Duck could use some work on editing skill, I hereby nominate SuntannedDuck2 for editor! Let the voting begin! Tomodachi94 (View·Talk|Editor) 04:28, 18 February 2021 (UTC) (pretend I signed it the first time lol)

  • Pictogram voting support.pngSupport Since the nomination, the user in question has contributed many more pages to the wiki with high-quality edits showing visible improvement. I feel they are ready to be an editor. Pictogram voting neutral.pngNeutral I feel that SuntannedDuck2 might benefit from not being editor for a little while longer and focusing on high-quality edits with better grammatical writing and/or double-checking flow of sentences before publishing an edit. -- SizableShrimp🦐 (talk · contribs) 04:23, 18 February 2021 (UTC) -- SizableShrimp🦐 (talk · contribs) 04:52, 10 March 2021 (UTC)

Outcome

This appears to have not gotten enough votes in support. thus, it has not passed. Tomodachi94 (View·Talk|Editor) 23:38, 16 March 2021 (UTC)

Blocking policy

More than four years ago, I started working on a Blocking policy that was not complete. Just today, there has been a post on FANDOM's new blocking policies. The key takeaway from their announcement is that they don't want admins blocking people for stupid reasons. While this has not been much of a problem here, most bans are reasonable and there haven't really been any controversial bans since the pre-Gamepedia times, it also states that "Rules for your wikis must be defined and easily found. These rules must not violate Fandom’s Terms of Use or be overly restrictive." I see this request of something of a liability kind of thing for FANDOM in that I don't expect to them to clamp down on wikis that haven't done this (like ours), unless problems arise from said wikis. Seems like this is unlikely to be a major issue but it would be good to formalize our blocking policy regardless. Feel free to suggest any direction you think this policy should take, or just contribute to it directly since it's in a draft state right now. -Xbony2 (talk) 05:00, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
