The Demonic Will is an item added by Blood Magic, which can be gathered with the Rudimentary Snare or Sentient Sword from monsters. Every monster can only drop one demonic will with a randomly generated amount of willpower, which is displayed in the inventory. The Demonic Will is required for some recipes in the Hellfire Forge. The player can also store the willpower into the gems for an easier transport, because the Demonic Will are not stackable and can not be recharged.
