Deadly Gaze is a status effect added by Thaumcraft 4. When applied to a player, every 10 ticks, entities around the player's crosshair up to 8 blocks away from the player will have Wither applied for 4 seconds. The effect's range is extended by 3 blocks per additional level of the effect, up to 24 blocks. In addition, it applies a shader darkening the player's view and adding a gray border around the edges of the screen.
This effect is only applied by a Warp effect requiring at least 53 effective Warp to trigger. The effect is applied at level 4 with a 5 minute duration.
