The Data Terminal is a utility tool added by AcademyCraft. Right-clicking with Data Terminal will start the installation, which will take a few seconds. Any player that has a Data Terminal installed can press the Alt button, by default, to open the GUI of the Data Terminal, where they can find many useful functions (sometimes referred as "Apps") (e.g., keybinding settings). Players should note that AcademyCraft keybinds are independent from vanilla keybinds, making the Data Terminal the only way to change AcademyCraft's keybindings when conflicts appear.
