The Creative Energy Cube is an energy storage container added by Mekanism, which can be found in End City chests or in Creative. It stores and outputs an infinite amount of energy, and can be used as a charging station for items.

In addition to the cables from Mekanism (e.g., the Basic Universal Cable), the cables of all power systems supported by Mekanism (Energy Units, Redstone Flux, Minecraft Joules, and Tesla) can also be connected.

Usage[]

The GUI of the Creative Energy Cube is opened by right-clicking the block. Its GUI displays its internal storage in the specified units (see below).

The Creative Energy Cube has a "minus" slot which can be used to place other loaded energy cubes to transfer energy from the loaded energy cube to the Creative Energy Cube; however, since the Creative Energy Cube has infinite energy, this serves no purpose.

Inside the "plus" slot the player can place items and weapons to charge them with energy. This is compatible with energy and items of all supported energy systems.

The upper-left button (called "Side Config") opens the configuration of the cube, where the player can set which side should receive or emit energy. If a side is disabled, the center of the side is transparent and cables on that side will not connect. If the player holds the Configurator in his hand, the cube displays a color code on the side the player is looking at. Grey means "Off", red means "Output" and blue means "Input". With a shift-right-click the player can change the configuration of each side.

The lower-left button allows the player to change the displayed energy system between Energy Units, Redstone Flux, Minecraft Joules, and Tesla. The change only affects the display; the energy is still available in all forms inside the system.

The upper-right button allows the player to configure the access rights for this block.

The lower-right button allows the player to change the behavior in relation to Redstone. For example, if the option is set to "High", then energy is only released when a redstone signal reaches the cube.
