Conveyor Belt

ModImmersive Engineering
TypeTile entity

The Conveyor Belt is a block added by Immersive Engineering. It is used to move items and entities.

Who needs rails anyway?
the Engineer's Manual entry on Conveyor Belts

Placing a Conveyor Belt will make it point in the direction the player faces. Right-clicking it with the Engineer's Hammer will adjust the direction in a clockwise direction. Shift right-clicking will make the Conveyor Belt run up instead of horizontal.

Throwing an item (or items) onto the Conveyor Belt will make it move it to the next Conveyor Belt. If no Conveyor Belt is available, the item/items will be thrown on the ground, or, if the belt ends at an inventory, the item/items will be automatically inserted into that inventory.

If powered by Redstone, the Conveyor Belt will freeze and not transport any items or entities. This functionality can be disabled by shapelessly crafting a Conveyor Belt.

Conveyor Belts can move mobs/players, however it is not efficient at this task. Walking (or sprinting) on a belt pointing away from the player does not speed the player in the slightest bit. Walking/sprinting in the opposite direction will slow the player down significantly, however. Jumping does not help (it will only push the player or mob back).

Conveyor Belts can be dyed. Right-clicking it with a dye will dye it. The color of the Conveyor Belt is purely decorative.
