A Comparator from "Project Red" in the comparison mode (left) and the subtraction mode (right) with input and output sides indicated by WAILA.
For easier usage, NEI and WAILA can be installed which shows the input and output on the Comparator.
The Comparator from Project Red has the same functions as the Redstone Comparator.
It can be toggled between two modes: Comparison mode and Subtraction mode by shift right-clicking with a Screwdriver. The mode is displayed on the cabling on the block. In Comparison mode the signal moves towards the direction of the positive end. In Subtraction mode the signal moves towards the direction of the negative end.
Unlike the vanilla version, the PR version can also be placed anywhere on walls and ceilings. Using the Screwedriver on the Comparator can reorient it in all four directions.
