Cinnabar is obtained as a byproduct of pulverizing Redstone Ore at 25% chance. Using Cinnabar as the additive in an Induction Smelter yields 3 ingots per ore block, compared to 2 ingots per block when sand is used. If used with Gold Ore, there is a 75% chance to produce Rich Slag as a byproduct. With other ore, it is guaranteed to produce an extra ingot (in addition to the original 3) of related type.
