BuildCraft — модификация, добавляющая механизмы, крафтящие предметы, добывающие и сортирующие ресурсы, а также автоматически строющие постройки по схемам. Она также добавляет трубы для провода предметов, жидкостей, и энергии. В числе разработчиков модификации — asie, Krapht, SirSengir, CovertJaguar, и SpaceToad.
BuildCraft was the original mod to introduce Minecraft Joules (MJ) but has since adopted the widely used Redstone Flux (RF) power system which many other mods use. You are able to power machines such as the Quarry, Pump, and Builder using one of the three engines BuildCraft adds. You can also use any power generating system from a mod that uses RF power. BuildCraft also introduces two new liquids, Oil and Fuel, to provide increased energy output. The BuildCraft Wrench is a new tool to reorient machines and piping systems.
