The Bewitched Tome is a hostile monster added by Primitive Mobs. It spawns in dark areas below y-level 40 in the Overworld.
It wanders around, chasing players on sight like a Zombie and dealing damage on contact. When killed it drops an Enchanted Book with a random enchantment on it.
