The Basic Machine Casing, previously known as the Machine Block, is a core component used in many IndustrialCraft 2 recipes.
The Basic Machine Casing can be placed in the world as any other block, but is purely decorative in nature (similar to other Storage Blocks). Its primary use is as a component for making other IndustrialCraft 2 machines, although it can be placed in a crafting grid on its own to recover 8 Iron Ingots.
