L'Arc Furnace est une machine ajoutée par GregTech 5 qui est utilisée pour recycler les machines et les composants en lingots.
Recette
Comme chaque machine électrique de GregTech 5, l'Arc Furnace possède 5 variantes, une pour chaque voltage de Low à Insane.
Usage
L'Arc Furnace fonctionne rapidement, mais consomme beaucoup d'énergie rapidemment. Là-plupart des recettes durent plusieurs secondes au maximum mais consomme 3 Ampères continuellement.
The Arc Furnace consumes both EU and fluid Oxygen when it is working. The Oxygen consumption is proportional to the time required by a recipe. As Oxygen is required for operation, an Electrolyzer is required to operate an Arc Furnace.
The Arc Furnace's primary purpose is the recycling of unwanted machines, blocks, and components back into the ingots used to make them. Up to 4 different Ingots can be produced from any input item, so materials can still be lost when disassembling complex machines.
In certain cases, the original ingots are not returned. Wood, Rubber, and Plastic burn into Ashes, Copper is cooked into Annealed Copper, and very importantly, Iron is cooked into Wrought Iron. This Iron -> Wrought Iron conversion is extremely useful, as it is both faster and more energy efficient than cooking Iron Nuggets into Wrought Iron Nuggets, and Wrought Iron is a better metal both for tools and for Steel production.
